About the house
Dobinson’s is a Dublin-based antiques dealership devoted to the quiet acquisition and study of Irish heritage pieces. We buy directly from those who have inherited, collected, or simply lived alongside objects of merit — furniture, silver and metalware, paintings, horology, ceramics and porcelain, and books or manuscripts — and we pay fair prices for them, without auction fees or middlemen.
We exist for the custodians of these objects: families clearing a long-held home, collectors refining an archive, and anyone uncertain whether a piece is worth keeping. Where provenance can be traced — a receipt, a label, a family story — we value it all the more. Our work begins with a photograph and a conversation, and ends with a discreet acquisition arranged at a time that suits the seller.
Dobinson’s is built and run by a small team in Dublin, Ireland. We are a new house with an old instinct: to keep good things in circulation, and to treat every object and every seller with the care their history deserves.
